I said I love the ABC and they already provide free content right on my iTunes.

What I don’t want to do is download a proprietary player for every content owner in the world and end up with hundreds of ‘players’ and incompatible media.

gRANT. You’re an angry unit. I don’t really understand why you hate ABC? At least they are providing free, high quality content. The two don’t need to be mutually exclusive, you can have your cake (iTunes content) and eat it too (iView content).

Props to Aunty for doing something, which is more than you can say for the commercial networks.

I don’t patronise iView or anything that isn’t iTunes. I want my media at my convenience, not the networks.

Initially positive Hulu users bailed because they’d go back to see a show and it wasn’t available any more. The networks will give you what you want until you’re hooked, then take it away.

That’s the way they’ve always worked… create “value” by artificial scarcity.

Don’t support these people. iTunes has its faults, but that ‘old media’ BS is not one of them.

I only want one place to go and iTunes does the job, without playing games. Email the ABC and tell them to “Just put it on iTunes, thanks.”

ABC was a world leader at making things available in iTunes. Microsoft or somebody has convinced them they can take back control with their product.

Please don’t encourage this. Don’t patronise it. Push them towards iTunes.

If you hack your apple TV with ATV flash it installs a browser (couch surfer). I haven’t tried it but it may be possible to watch via this interface. I will test it on the weekend.

I still want iView in a box though and they don’t seem to be interested. Eg: Apple TV:-) But yes, iiNet with unlimited iView is nice
